House Demolition Sydney

House demolition in Sydney. Knock-down rebuilds and partial takes.

House demolition in Sydney is this crew's main job: full knock-downs for rebuilds, and partial takes where a rear addition or a wing comes off and the rest of the dwelling stays. Most of that week is Eastern Suburbs, coastal, and CBD. Bondi, Maroubra, Clovelly, Dover Heights, and the city are the short run from the Daceyville yard. Inner West, North Shore, and the Coast are still in the run. We hold NSW demolition licence AD214505 (SafeWork NSW) and carpentry licence 397254C.

House Demolition Sydney – Elite Demolition & Excavation Sydney & Central Coast

How a house knock-down runs

  1. 01

    Site look and quote

The driveway, the street, and the neighbours. That tells us the machine and how many loads the house will take. We inspect, then we quote. There is no online calculator.

  2. 02

DA, CDC, and what we do not lodge

Most house demolitions in NSW need council approval or a CDC before the excavator starts. We do not issue those. We will tell you what has to be in place.

  3. 03

    Asbestos and the stand-down

If the house is likely to have asbestos, Elite does that removal before we put a machine on it. An independent hygienist issues the clearance when that is the job. We stand down until it is done.

  4. 04

    Service disconnects

Electricity, water, gas, and telecom have to be isolated from the work. We will tell you what is still live.

  5. 05

    Fencing, neighbours, and the street

The site has to be controlled before the machine starts. Neighbours and truck movements get planned before the first morning, not after someone has blocked the street.

  6. 06

    The machine

The structure comes down. Tight terraces need a smaller excavator and more hand work. Wider suburban blocks are usually simpler. The method follows the street.

  7. 07

    Load-out

Waste leaves the site. If excavation is in the quote, the slab comes out and the soil is carted so the builder is not waiting on a pile.

  8. 08

    Handover to the builder

The block is left ready for the next build. We do not issue a council demolition certificate. The cleared site, and the asbestos clearance when that was required, are what the builder needs to start.

Licences on a house demolition Sydney job

These are the numbers that sit on the work. We put them on this page so a builder, certifier, or homeowner can check them without a phone chase. We do not publish a Class A or Class B asbestos licence number here. Elite does the asbestos work on our own knockdowns. The machine still stands down until removal is done, and an independent hygienist issues the clearance when that is the job.

NSW demolition licence: AD214505

SafeWork NSW demolition licence. The house knock-down sits on this ticket. Demolition is carried out to AS 2601 under that licence.

NSW carpentry licence: 397254C

If the rebuild needs framing, decks, or joinery before we leave, that sits on this ticket. Same crew, same booking when that is in the quote.

Paperwork around a knock-down

This is what sits around a house knock-down on our jobs. We only list what this yard actually does. We do not lodge council approvals. We do not invent certificates we do not issue.

The quote

We inspect, then we quote. Photos of the street and the house get that started. There is no fixed-price online quote and no calculator on this page.

Development approval or CDC

Most house demolitions in NSW need council approval or a CDC before anyone puts a machine on the building. You or the certifier lodge that. We do not issue it. We will tell you what has to be in place.

Asbestos and clearance

Elite does the asbestos removal on our own knockdowns. An independent hygienist issues the clearance when that is the job. We stand down until it is done. We do not skip this to keep a date.

Service disconnects

Electricity, water, gas, and telecom have to be isolated from the work. We will tell you what is still live before the first morning.

Licences on the job

NSW demolition licence AD214505 and carpentry licence 397254C sit on this page and go with the work. Ask if you need them on the quote pack as well.

Handover for the builder

The structure comes down, the waste leaves, and the block is left ready for the next stage. Slab and dig if they were in the quote. We do not issue a council demolition certificate. The site itself is the handover.

Builders on the videos

We do not publish a yearly house count. These names are already on this site: video testimonials, plus a named church job on the North Shore. We do not list volume builders we have not worked with.

Sydney jobs already on this site

Most of the week is Eastern Suburbs, coastal, and CBD work. The clusters below link to real project pages. They are not empty suburb doorways. Inner West and North Shore jobs are still on the site.

Eastern Suburbs

Bondi, Maroubra, Clovelly, Dover Heights, Vaucluse, and the CBD. That is the core cluster from Daceyville.

Inner West

Marrickville, Stanmore, and Redfern.

North Shore

Roseville, including the church job.

Full knock-down or a partial take

Partial demolition is a different job to a full knock-down. You keep the front, or the upstairs, or the neighbour's party wall, and we take out what the brief says. That needs more hand work and a smaller machine. Terraces and tight Eastern Suburbs blocks are often this kind of take. The street still has to take the trucks. The bit that stays has to be left so the builder can work off it.

A lot of full knock-downs continue into excavation: slab out, levels in, soil gone. Read excavation Sydney if the builder needs a hole, not just a clear block. Interior-only jobs sit on strip-out, not on this page.

Central Coast knock-downs are the same crew and the same licences, on their own landing so this page can own house demolition Sydney. See demolition Central Coast if the house is on the Coast.

If the house is likely to have asbestos, that story sits on asbestos in a house demolition. Elite does that removal on our own jobs. Clearance before the machine. We do not bury it on the block.

Builder videos sit on testimonials. We inspect, then we quote. Send the suburb, what you want taken down, and a couple of street photos. Access is usually the first thing that changes the number. There is no online calculator. Call 0487 549 909 or use the contact form.

Other demolition work

Asbestos in a house demolition

Clearance first. Machine second. Nothing buried on the block.

Detailed demolition and strip-out

Selective takes, tight work, and leaving the bits that have to stay

Interior demolition and strip-out

Kitchens, bathrooms, linings, and internal structure with the shell left standing

Tight access and hand demolition

Terraces, laneways, and confined sites where the machine has to fit the driveway

Back to Demolition

This sits under Demolition. If the job also needs another trade on the same site, say so on the quote. We inspect, then we quote.

House demolition FAQs

Do you do house demolition in Sydney?

Yes. House demolition in Sydney is most of our week: full knock-downs for rebuilds, including the slab when that is part of the brief. Most of that week is Eastern Suburbs, coastal, and CBD work. Inner West and North Shore are still in the run.

Is house demolition in Sydney only Bondi and Maroubra?

No. Those jobs are on this site because that is where the diary fills first from Daceyville. House demolition in Sydney also covers Inner West and North Shore. Central Coast knock-downs have their own landing.

Can you take down part of a house and leave the rest?

Yes. Rear additions, a wing, or a storey can come off while the rest stays. That is more hand work. We look at the structure and the street before we quote.

Do you handle council approvals for a knock-down?

No. We do not issue council approvals or CDCs. We will tell you what has to be in place before we put a machine on the building.

Do you quote a fixed price for house demolition without seeing the site?

No. We inspect, then we quote. Access, waste, asbestos, and the slab change the number. There is no fixed-price online quote.

Which SafeWork NSW licence covers the house knock-down?

NSW demolition licence AD214505. Carpentry licence 397254C sits next to it when framing, decks, or joinery are in the same booking.

What happens if the house has asbestos?

Elite does the asbestos removal on our own knockdowns. An independent hygienist issues the clearance when that is the job. We do not start the excavator until it is done.
